«Swiss Art Awards» + «Collection Cahiers d’Artistes» en parallèle avec ART 40 Basel:
Pour la première fois Pro Helvetia présentera sa «Collection Cahiers d’Artistes» – cette série qui offre leur première publication aux artistes. Invitée par l’Office fédéral de la culture, la Fondation animera l’installation sur la «Collection Cahiers d’Artistes» par un projet de médiation artistique autour des cahiers. L’intégration des cahiers dans les «Swiss Art Awards», qui exposent les travaux des artistes invités au deuxième tour du Concours fédéral d’art et d’architecture, ouvre des perspectives inédites sur le jeune art suisse. (…) Mozzini’s shows a penchant for intervention, for instance,
by inserting an alien object into a given context,
with unmistakable and recognizable references that thrust
the familiarity of everyday life upon viewers and yet, at the
same time, encourage them to take a critical view.
Rickety, temporary and makeshift: that describes the appearance
of Mozzini’s artworks. In his case, however, what
almost sounds like a reproach is actually a deliberate decision
and a sign of aesthetic quality. The artist works at
eroding entrenched opinions and ideas as if he were not
only sawing up wood for his installations but also messing
around with the pilings of our sedimented convictions. (…)
